What's New in XDOC 1.11 [Mar 19 '96]
[+] added anti-virii self check to xdoc.com
(following suggestions from John Kiernan:)
[*] 1. earlier program expects FILENAME.TXT for the input file,
and if you want to work on FILENAME
you have to type it as FILENAME. ending with a dot.
Now the input file name is wide open, so the end . is not needed.
[*] 2. earlier default output name (README.EXE) might overwrite
something else.
Now changed to a default of FILENAME.EXE,
with an Overwrite? Y/N warning if FILENAME.EXE already exists.
[*] 3. The colors of the bottom line now is in something that shows
as reverse video on a Hercules monitor: (0 on 7)
[*] 4. When an .exe made by xdoc has finished, the screen is left with
blue foreground on cyan background.
(With VGA monochrome this comes out as gray on light gray.)
Now this program resets the screen to something
that's always legible like white on black.
What's New in XDOC 1.10 [Feb 05 '96]
[+] added Find, Again (suggestions from John Kiernan)
[*] change bios i/o (int10h) to direct i/o (video ram)
